IN RUDA RÓŻANIECKA

Between 24 and 28 September 2012 the second working meeting of our Comenius project “Be Taught By Your Student” was held in Zespół Szkół in Ruda Różaniecka.

This time students worked out sport games rules, presented them in English and then played Dodgeball, Ringo and Meta games. It was a very good way to make friends, communicate, practice English and have fun. We met together, introduced ourselves, explained games rules, ate and talked…

German and Slovak teachers and students had an opportunity to learn a lot about Polish education system. They took part in Art and PE classes. Everybody could watch gymnastics, cheerleaders and finally karate shows prepared by Ms Alicja Pałczyńska – Karate FUDOKU World Champion. Teachers from Banska Bystrica and Berlin visited classrooms and the school library.

Partners discussed the scope of preparation before meeting in Slovakia, local and common tasks, talked about final products and evaluated the previous activities.

Apart from that, we also presented some elements of Polish culture and history. We visited Wawel Royal Castel in Kraków – the city of  Polish heritage, took photos of the Wawel Dragon and did some sightseeing in the Wieliczka Salt Mine – one of the greatest Polish historical places.

We also spent a lot of time admiring the beauty of local nature in Szumy, Zwierzyniec, Bukowa Góra. We learnt a lot about Polish history and traditional jobs and activities in “The Farm of Guciów”.

At the end, the final meeting with parents, local authorities and media took place.

Everybody filled in evaluation surveys, had some time to sum the work up, discuss and celebrate…

We are all looking forward to the next meeting in SlovakiaJ
